I met Miguel back in 2016 working as line-cooks together in a Tsawwassen restaurant. His passion for great food and entertaining was contagious and I loved how excited he was to share his recipes from hometown of Guadalajara.

Together we built a brand to support his dream of bringing a little bit of Mexico to Canadian tables. Over the years we’ve refined and adjusted the aesthetic of La Chula Mexi-can Kitchen to include merchandise like hats, towels, and t-shirts, as well as launch some very popular seasoning products for home cooking. I’ve enjoyed learning about Miguel’s culture and having such a dynamic use of colours and illustrations to work with on this project – to date, this project has been the most popular among my peers.
