La Chula Mexican Kitchen

2017 – 2018

La Chula’s branding elements are designed to be simple, but versatile for any application. We will have no problem expanding on this concept for future print or digital collateral. We created custom stamp icons for each food label to make it very easy to understand what type of food we are consuming. I feel we’ve maintained a consistent visual language across the group of branding materials and applications. The visual language we focused on for the labels was important in our branding. The main focus was a grid-like system that felt somewhat trendy but timeless. This allows us to set a template for the different food groups available, apply the stamp, and update the information for each product. The typography was selected to compliment our logo as well as the modern yet timeless styling. Speaking with Miguel, we decided that the branding for this project should also be versatile enough to be used for merchandising. The direction we were going for was an early 90's delivery-boy style t-shirt and hat. Our take-away bag appears more modern in styling, however still works with the other materials created for the brand.
